What a night for The Mercantile Hotel at the Bar of The Year Awards.
We are delighted to have been recognised across six categories at the Irish Bar of the Year Awards 2026, celebrating some of the very best bars, restaurants, hotels and hospitality venues across the country.
The 2026 Bar of the Year Awards recognise excellence across Ireland’s bar and drinks industry, and to see The Mercantile recognised across so many categories is a huge achievement for our team.
From our restaurant and cocktail offering to our historic building and the experience we have created on Dame Street, these nominations reflect the many different sides of The Mercantile.
Hotel Bar of the Year
There’s a story behind every drink at The Mercantile.
Our cocktail menu takes inspiration from the people, personalities and moments that have shaped Dublin, turning the city’s history and culture into something you can quite literally raise a glass to.
From poets and musicians to street traders and modern Dublin characters, each cocktail offers its own little glimpse into the city we call home – great drinks, great stories and great Dublin hospitality. The Bar of The Year Awards recognise the best of hospitality across Dublin and Ireland, and we are honoured that they chose us for such a prestigious finalist position.

Awards nights are a lovely opportunity to celebrate what happens in front of the guest, but we know how much work happens behind the scenes to make those experiences possible. Having 6 finalist spots at the Bar of The Year Awards would not be possible without all of out amazing team.
