Dublin is a vibrant city with plenty of adventures and experiences waiting around every corner. As amazing as the city is, not everything is affordable to do, so we have created a bespoke list of all the best activities to get up to in Dublin for free!

The National Museum of Ireland has a collection of locations based in Dublin that covers a vast amount of history. The Collins Barracks location is a short distance from Dame Street and has loads of information on decorative arts and the military history of Ireland. The Museum has a wide variety of exhibitions which you will be sure to love.
The second location of the collection is on Kildare Street, less than a 15 minute walk from Dame Street! This location focus’s mainly on the history of archaeology as well as the Viking settlement in Ireland in 795AD!
The final location is named The Museum of Natural History, but to locals its name is “The Dead Zoo”. Located on Merrion Street in a building that is over 168 years old, it is closed for renovations for the time being, but don’t worry! The Collins Barracks location has a “ Dead Zoo Lab”, showcasing natural history so you won’t miss out!.

Dublin Castle and the Dubh Linn Gardens are a peaceful escape in the bustling city. Dublin Castle is one of the oldest buildings in Dublin, dating back to 1204.

The history of the castle is absolutely breathtaking and it is definitely worth the trip. All of the castles in Dublin and Ireland are breathtaking, and if you are looking for a day trip from the city, a short train away is Malahide Castle and Gardens.
A walk through the old cobblestone streets in Temple Bar is a Dublin must-do. The atmosphere and the buzz from all around is electric. If you go at the weekend, you might run into a pop-up market or buskers!
O’Connell Street is a historians dream! From the Spire, the Statues and the GPO, you will be steeped in History and gorgeous architecture.
